Why three decimal places matter

One second contains 1,000 milliseconds. A displayed time of 06.701 means six seconds and 701 milliseconds. Keeping three decimal places lets the time shown on screen match the millisecond accuracy used by the scoring system.

For example, stopping at 06.701 on a 07.000 target is 299 milliseconds early. Rounding the display to 06.70 would hide one millisecond and make the score appear less transparent.

How accuracy is calculated

Accuracy is the absolute distance between the target time and your stopping time. Being 80 milliseconds early and 80 milliseconds late produces the same accuracy value and therefore the same base score.

  • Exact target: 1,000 points.
  • Within 100 ms: Perfect Hit, scoring from 900 to 999.
  • From 101 to 300 ms: Near Miss, scoring from 600 to 899.
  • Beyond 300 ms: the score gradually decreases and reaches zero at a 10-second difference.

Why scores are not rounded first

The game scores the measured millisecond difference before presenting the result. Rounding first could give different attempts the same apparent accuracy and would make close leaderboard positions less fair.

Comparing multi-round results

In modes with several rounds, the total score rewards repeated accuracy rather than one lucky stop. The average accuracy shown on leaderboards helps distinguish players who consistently finish close to every target.
